1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom in its original Black finish (the back of the neck was oversprayed). It has a good playing one-piece neck with good frets as it has been refretted. It also has a one-piece body. There was a Bigsby installed at one time and the bridge saddles have been changed along with "Nashville" style bridge posts installed in the body. The set of Grover tuning keys are the 3rd set of tuners on this guitar as previously installed tuners have left extra screw holes which have been filled. The tuning peg holes have been slightly widened for the Grover ferrules. There is no pickguard, the plastic jackplate is cracked, the switch tip has been changed, the nut has been changed and ID info has been etched on the underside of the truss rod cover, switch cover and control cavity cover. There are two newer screws for one pickup surround, but the pickups are original with the capacitors being changed to "bumble bee" caps. There are lots of nicks + dings, finish cracks/checking and other cosmetic wear. The guitar itself remains structurally sound. A later Gibson hardshell case is included and has a lot of wear. The weight is 10 lbs. 2.8 oz. All electronics work and sound great.
