1957 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black
1957 Gibson Les Paul Custom in its original Black finish and factory Bigsby. It has a good playing neck with good frets as it has been re-fretted. All parts, including the non-gold Bigsby, appear to be original with the exception of the plastic back panel for the control cavity and its four later gold screws, the bridge with the exception of two gold saddles and the bridge thumbwheels. The original gold bridge posts are reinstalled into two small dowels that have been added into the top for greater stability as the movement from the Bigsby had loosened the original post holes. It is also 100% complete along with its original hardshell case, papers for both the tune-o-matic bridge + "Humbucking pickup adjustments" along with their original envelope, an empty Gibson set of strings box and the original hang tag stamped "LES PAUL CUSTOM FRETLESS WONDER BIGSBY". This Les Paul Custom looks great with nicks + dings, some extremely minor finish checking on the headstock and other cosmetic wear. The guitar itself remains structurally sound. There is a date and initials written on the underside of the pickguard. All electronics work and sound great with its original set of PAF pickups. The covers for the neck and middle position pickups have been off at one time.
