1959 Gibson ES-335 TDN Natural/Blonde with Flame Maple Top

1959 Gibson ES-335 TDN in its original Natural/Blonde finish and a flame maple top. It has a great playing neck with a great frets as it has been professionally re-fretted. The neck dimensions are .915 at the 1st fret and 1.03 at the 12th fret. The finish on the neck and headstock has been oversprayed, but the finish on the body has not as it is the original Natural finish with no overspray. There are some small areas where blemishes were touched-up including a small area (1/2") of binding repair on the top edge of the lower bass side bout. In that same area there is a tiny (1/4") hairline surface crack on the top. The finish on the body has also been buffed and there is an area below the tailpiece with near invisible impressions of written text as if someone wrote an address on a piece of paper that was laying on top of the body. Some parts that have been changed include the nut, tailpiece, strap buttons, one gold screw for the pickguard bracket, one gold mounting screw/post for the bridge and some screws for the tuning keys. The original hardshell case is included. The bridge posts have been slightly relocated next to the filled original holes. The plastic pickup ring in the bridge position has been filed down for a slightly lower profile. There appears to be signs of minor repair along the seams around the neck heel and surrounding area in the cutaways, but no signs of a break or cracks. The original PAF pickups have loose covers that stay on very well without solder. The bridge position PAF has had solder added to secure the braided shielding to the metal plate of that pickup. There are nicks + dings, finish cracks (almost entirely in the aftermarket overspray on the neck), light belt buckle wear and other cosmetic wear including a large area worn down to the wood from play wear on the back of the neck. The guitar itself remains structurally sound. All electronics work and sound great with the neck position pickup reading 8.92 ohms and the bridge reading 8.56 ohms. This guitar was recently examined and analyzed by Vintage Verified and pics of their analysis are shown in this listing. The Instrument Report booklet will also be included with this guitar.
