1955 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst
1955 Fender Stratocaster in its original Sunburst finish. The serial number is typically recognized in the early 1956 range, but the body dates to 11/55, the neck is 12/55, factory tape in control cavity reads "Gloria 12/16/55" and the visible pots date to the 43rd week of 1955. It has a great playing flame maple neck with great frets. The neck and middle pickups have been professionally rewound by Tom Brantley, but all parts are original with the exception of the tip for the tremolo arm, and is 100% complete along with its original bridge cover, tremolo arm and original tweed hardshell case. It's in very good condition with some nicks + dings and other cosmetic wear including some cracks in the plastic pickup covers. The guitar itself remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. All electronics work and sound great while all solder joints remain original and untampered with, with the exception of the solder in the bobbins of the two rewound pickups. The neck position pickup reads 5.96, middle-5.95 and the bridge-6.64. The weight is 8 lbs. 5.6 oz.
