1955 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty
1955 Gibson Les Paul Custom in its original Black finish. It has a great playing neck with good frets. It's all original with the possible exception of a couple of replaced/re-soldered ground wires in the control cavity. One lead on one of the capacitors has also been re-soldered where it connects to the cap. The original hardshell case is included, but the side lining of the body portion has partially come unglued and has shrunken a bit. It's in very good condition with some nicks + dings, very light belt buckle wear on the back of the body and other minor cosmetic wear. There are some small black touched-up areas around the top edge of the headstock and some edges of the pickup cavities. The holes for the bridge posts are a little worn and have some play in them when the tension is taken off the strings. The guitar itself remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. All electronics work and sound great with its original Alnico + P-90 pickups. The weight is 8 lbs. 11.8 oz.
