1961 Fender Jazz Bass "Stack Knob" with a body that has been refinished Blonde. Traces of original paint found underneath some parts indicate that it was originally Sunburst. The finish on the neck is original, but at the heel end of the neck the underside portion that is concealed in the neck pocket has been sanded. It has a great playing neck with great frets. Both pickups appear to have been rewound. All other parts appear to be original with the exception of one washer for one tuning key, one washer for one of the mutes and 3 of the 4 screws for the chrome covers. The original mutes are included along with the original Brown hardshell case. There are two areas on the back of the body where the finish was chipped/buffed out over the two factory dowels. There are nicks + dings, finish checking and other cosmetic wear including two faint rings in the finish of the back of the body. All electronics work and sound great, but the two original resistors have been removed. The weight is 8 lbs. 9 oz. without the covers.
