1962 Rickenbacker 460 Fireglo

1962 Rickenbacker 460 in its original brilliant Fireglo finish. It has a great playing neck with good frets. It's all original with the exception of the white switch tip and an aftermarket bridge cover. The original hardshell case is included and has some damage on one end. Just above the nut on the headstock there are several small screw holes from a type of string tree that was installed at one time. Some of the seams on the body and underside of the headstock on the treble side appear to have had glue worked in at one time. This was likely done to secure the start of slight seam separation. The bridge saddles have a second set of grooves filed into them. The groove for the G is filed a little too deep, but the string still plays fine. Aside from those two issues, there are minor nicks + dings, natural play wear through the finish in some areas and other cosmetic wear. There is a small wood piece glued in the corner of the neck pickup cavity as the screw hole for that corner of the pickguard was misaligned at the factory and didn't have enough wood to grab without this compensation. The guitar itself remains structurally sound as the listed issues are mostly cosemtic. All electronics work and sound great with its original set of toaster pickups.
